What type of research happens in academic healthcare organizations? This was the topic of the May 6, 2010 CIHR-ACAHO Cafe Scientifique on Patient Involvement in Health Research.

ACAHO among 14 national associations to participate in the development of a joint statement on the greening of the healthcare sector.

ACAHO is among 14 national associations to participate in the development of a joint statement on the greening of the healthcare sector. The statement supports ACAHO members' call for a renewal of federal funding for the retrofit and updating of physical plants by explicitly identifying the need for investments in greener health care infrastructure. It also highlights the need for collaboration between policy-makers, funders, organizations and individuals in achieving its vision. Given the consensus, the joint statement will likely serve as an important reference point for future conversations with government (see joint Policy Statement and News Release)
