ACAHO Appears Before House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance

On October 8, 2009, Dr. Jack Kitts (Chair, ACAHO), and Mr. Glenn Brimacombe (President & CEO, ACAHO) appeared before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance.  In their opening remarks and the questions and answer session that followed, ACAHO focused on the three priorities that they have identified for consideration for Budget 2010: (1) create a one-time National Health Delivery Infrastructure Fund; (2) accelerate investments in health research through the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR); and (3) address the current GST anomalies that negatively affect the healthy system.
