WHAT'S NEW AT ACAHO?
Bill Tholl named President and CEO of CHA/ACAHO
The newly-merged organizations of the Canadian Healthcare Association and the Association of Canadian Academic Healthcare Organizations (CHA/ACAHO) are pleased to announce that Bill Tholl has been appointed President and CEO, effective March 17, 2014. He will build and lead an organization that will be the national voice and champion of innovative health organizations across the continuum of care.
‘Stay the course' budget offers a few nuggets for research, innovation and families
The newly-merged organizations of the Canadian Healthcare Association and the Association of Canadian Academic Healthcare Organizations (CHA/ACAHO) are encouraged following yesterday's reading of the Federal Budget. However, members were hoping for more support as health research and innovation are important to Canada's prosperity and job creation.
ACAHO-CHA and AFMC Host the 3rd National Academic Health Sciences Network Symposium March 12-13, 2014
The theme of this year's Symposium is "The Sustainability of Health Research". This Symposium will examine Canadian and international models of health research within the Academic Health Sciences Centres and Network and discuss related human resource issues, including the future of the clinician scientist. Leaders from academia, the healthcare delivery sector, governments, and the private sector will be at the table to discuss these issues.
